Male' based surfing in Maldives
We'll pick you up from the airport to take you on the 10 minute boat ride to Male', the capitol city of Maldives. Male' is a city of 1 square mile with mazed streets, where more than 100,000 people live. In Male' you will stay at a guesthouse and take daily boat trips to the surf breaks.
When we take you on the day trips, we'll go to the surf breaks of North and South Male' Atoll. There are 16 different lefts and rights you will be able to surf, all the way from mellow lines to hollow barrels. It takes a 45 minute to 2 hour boat ride to reach these breaks from Male'.

We offer this package for groups from 3 to 8 people. You pick the dates, find the tickets, and we'll accommodate trips to a maximum of 21 days. You can also join an already booked trip.
This package is based on half-board. Half-board includes the room, breakfast at a nice guesthouse with AC and a packed lunch on the boat. We will give you a mobile phone and a book on how to survive in the city. This way you can find places where you can have dinner, from $2 pp.
The packages include one full day boat trip per day, except for the first and last, on which the Male' break can be surfed (depending on itinerary). If your itinerary allows you to do a boat trip on the first and last day as well, we can arrange it for you.

Important
You will experience Maldives in a different way than most tourists, because we make it possible for you to stay in Male'. You will be able to hang out with locals and become familiar with this country whose waves you are enjoying. The opportunity of staying on a local island comes with the responsibility of 'being respectful' to the Maldivian culture and their Islamic beliefs. Alcohol, for example, will not be available. Also, modest swimwear and clothing must be worn.
Surfing with us promotes local industry. Local surfers, boat captains, guesthouse owners and teashops benefit instead of the resort and safari boat magnates.
